Tap Room Closure Due To Coronavirus

The Crystal Lake Brewing tap room will be closed for on-premise service until at least Thursday, April 30.

During this time, the tap room will be open for "To Go" purchases, including 6-packs, growlers, t-shirts and other merchandise, as well as gift card sales. Our hours during this time are:

Mon-Fri - 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Sat-Sun - Noon to 6:00 pm

Drive Up Service

The tap room is being kept clean and we are set up to maintain physical distance between customers and avoid/minimize all contact, but if you prefer to stay in your car, just pull up in front. We'll send someone out to you to take your order.


Below is the notice we posted prior to closing of the tap room. It is included here because we will continue to adhere to the policies described below for the foreseeable future, even after we re-open.

The CLB tap room is, by its nature, a public meeting place. As such, we take our responsibility to provide a safe, secure and comfortable environment very seriously. Maintaining a welcoming and safe space is something we constantly strive for, but in light of the current health crisis, it is fair to ask what common-sense steps we are taking to help prevent the spread of disease.

Feeling Sick? Please Stay Home.

We have always had a policy that when tap room (or brewery) employees are sick, they stay home. We have reminded our staff that if they are feeling symptoms of illness, of any kind, they are not to come into work. CLB management is being particularly watchful to make sure this policy is followed. In addition, we ask everyone who considers coming into the tap room to postpone their visit if they are feeling any flu-like symptoms.

Hand Washing

Bar staff are being asked to increase the frequency of hand washing, and are expected to thoroughly wash their hands at least twice an hour. Of course, thorough hand washing is also recommended for our guests.

Glassware

Making sure glasses are clean is part of making sure our pints are as perfect as possible, so washing and sanitizing (and even a pre-fill rinse) have been considered crucial since the day we opened. With that said, we have put a renewed emphasis on the sanitizing step in our cleaning process. Part of this process is that we not re-use glassware, even for the same guest. Guests sometimes request that we re-fill a glass, but please understand that to best ensure sanitation, we serve each pint in a fresh, clean glass.

High-Traffic Areas

It has always been our practice to clean and sanitize tables in between groups, and we are extending this practice to other common areas and items, including the water station, door handles, restrooms and other high-touch areas.

Hand Sanitizing Stations

We have added hand sanitizing stations for both our staff behind the bar and our guests in the tap room.
